Two new SBGi locations is Sweden!

We are proud to welcome two new SBGi locations in Sweden!

Matt recently returned from a seminar tour in Sweden. He visited four cities, and ended with a seminar in Stockholm. The first club to join SBGi in Sweden is located in Norrkoping Sweden, and is run by Daniel Backfelt. The second club is located in Stockholm, and is run by Markus Masip. Both men attended the SBGi Fall Camp in Fla in Oct 2005, and followed up with training from SBGi Ireland Coach John Kavanagh. Most recently Matt completed a four city tour of Sweden where he taught at both locations, as well as several other schools.

As always these guys represent the SBGi vibe, with a high degree of integrity, and a solid understanding of what Alive training is all about.

Sweden is a beautiful Country. Lots of lakes, rolling green hills and nice people.

SBGi's newest BJJ black belt Eric Hemphill will be traveling to Sweden!

Eric will jumping on a plane for Sweden just after he teaches at the Fall Camp in Niagara falls Canada this October. He will be living and coaching in Sweden for at least a month. So if you are in Sweden don't miss this chance to train with one of SBGi's best athletes, and a great teacher.

Not everyone may know that in addition to being a BJJ black belt Eric also has a great stand up game, having been a boxer prior to studying BJJ. And his MMA game and Vale Tudo coaching skill is also outstanding! We will miss him on that mat at the Portland Headquarters Gym, but our loss will help elevate the games of everyone taking the time to work with him overseas.

Don't miss the SBGi Fall Camp in Niagara Falls. . . .it's just a few weeks away! See you there : )

New SBGi Gym opening in WA State!

Just returned from Sweden, and I have some exciting news to announce regarding that trip. We will update the news section in the next few days with that info.

We are very excited to announce that Portland SBGi Instructor Cody Houston has moved to WA state and is opening up a brand new SBGi training facility!

Cody is a great Coach, and as such we are proud to announce that his new Gym will be the only authorized SBGi facility in the Pac NW outside the Portland and Beaverton Gyms. It is located in Bellingham WA.

Location:

West Coast Fight Club
1828 Elm St. Suite D
Bellingham, WA 98225
(360) 393-1309

Here is a note from Cody:

"The main floor of the gym has 1,300 sq/ft of matted training area (tatami mats), a metal frame which holds 4-6 heavybags, two speed bags, two bathrooms and an office. Right now we are putting in the second floor which will offer another 800 sq/ft training area that will either be hard wood or laminate flooring, a 4 ft sunken lounge area so you can view both floors and another changing room. I will be offering BJJ, Kickboxing, MMA, Yoga/Pilates, Combat Conditioning and Youth Programs. All BJJ, Kickboxing and MMA will be offered at beginner, intermediate and competition levels."

Cody will be having a grand opening party sometime in the 60 days, and we will be posting the dates as soon as we get them.
